Northern Solo and Laser open meeting at West Riding Sailing Club - Preview

West Riding Sailing Club is looking forward to welcoming the Northern Solo and Laser (ILCA if you insist) fleets for a round of their respective traveller's series on Saturday 29th April.

The WRSC Laser fleet have been out practising for the event all winter and there have been reports of some of the Solo fleet coming out of hibernation. The car park is already starting to fill up with mobility scooters.

The first race is scheduled to start at 11am, with two further races following lunch. Full details are available on www.wrsc.org

Entry fees are £20 per boat, payable on the day by cash, card or bank transfer. Lunch and hot drinks are included. Prizes will be awarded to the first three in each fleet.

It would be appreciated if all competitors could pre-enter on the club website, to assist with catering numbers etc.

The gates will be open at 9am and the kettle will be on.

A very light wind event Five visitors joined six WRSC boats for round 3 of the Laser / ILCA Northern Grand Prix on Saturday 29th April. To ensure competitor got their money's worth a 7th 'just for fun' race was held West Riding Sailing Club welcomed 5 visiting teams to join 4 home boats for the first round of the Lakes Mortgages 2000 Latitude series over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd April.
