Yacht Harbour Association Marina of the Year Awards revealed at Southampton International Boat Show

At the Southampton International Boat Show (Wednesday 21 September) winners of The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) Marina of the Year Awards 2022, sponsored by Towergate Insurance, were revealed on the Foredeck Stage.

TYHA General Manager, Jon White and Chair, Colin Watts, were joined by representatives from many of the 160 plus Gold Anchor accredited marinas from around the world hoping to clinch one of the coveted awards.

"These awards are voted for by berth holders and celebrate the very best marinas both in the UK and overseas and provide a perfect opportunity to recognise those marinas that go above and beyond, offering outstanding quality and service to their berth holders and visitor", commented Jon White, TYHA, General Manager.

"We are absolutely delighted to see so many people here today, not only hoping to collect an award but to show support for their colleagues across the marina community."

Six awards were presented at the show, with winners and runners up welcomed up on stage to collect their award.

And the winners are...

Towergate's Coastal Marina of the Year 2022 - Under 250 Berths
Winner - Emsworth Yacht Harbour
Runner up - Poole Quay Boat Haven

Towergate's Coastal Marina of the Year 2022 - Over 250 Berths
Winner - Royal Quays Marina - boatfolk
Runner up- Troon Yacht Haven

Towergate's Inland Marina of the Year 2022
Winner - Shepperton Marina
Runner up - Campbell Wharf

"I'm totally overcome, I'm absolutely delighted", commented Heather who collected the Inland Marina of the Year runner's up award on behalf of Campbell Wharf.

Winner - Marina de Vilamoura
Runner up - Karpaz Gate Marina

Towergate's Superyacht Marina of the Year 2022
Winner - Yalikavak Marina
Runner up - Porto Montenegro

Towergate's Marina Employee of the Year 2022
Winner - John Selman - Beaulieu Marina
Runner up - Suzana Grban - Porto Montenegro
