Join the Andrew Simpson Yachting team!

Andrew Simpson Yachting are recruiting for the role of Sales and Communications Coordinator at the new not-for-profit Andrew Simpson Yachting Centre in Haslar, Gosport

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for their first step into the marine leisure industry and to join Andrew Simpson Yachting at the start of their journey to build a successful new operation.

The Role

The Sales & Communications Coordinator is a critical role in the organisation. Almost always the first point of contact with customers, you will handle enquiries, co-ordinate course bookings, and deal with course management. You will also liaise with external suppliers, ensure the centre is well-presented and deal with the detailed admin associated with a professionally-run training establishment, including maintaining the reporting system for areas such as operational performance and client feedback. This will be reviewed regularly with the Chief Instructor.

As well, you will liaise regularly with other parts of the Andrew Simpson network, and also work in partnership with the wider Sales & Communications team to create marketing materials such as printed collateral, social media posts, and other group-wide events – notably our annual Bart’s Bash.

The Person

We are looking for a highly motivated customer-orientated person. The role requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to think creatively. The post-holder will need to feel comfortable with both phone and face-to-face engagement with clients and be a proficient user of technology. A background in watersports or yachting would be beneficial but is not essential.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time role with an initial 12-month contract within an expanding organisation. It would suit someone looking to develop a full-time career within the marine industry. Salary will be dependent on experience but would start at £20,000 per annum with many additional perks such as training and development in any form of watersports qualifications, use of a wide array of watersports equipment and assistance from a very experienced management team. A full induction and training for the role will be given.

How to apply

Please email a CV to tim@andrewsimpsonyachting.org. Applications by 6th December. Interviews to follow during that week.
