The Brindisi stage of the Diam 24 protagonists of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour organized by Difesa Servizi SpA, Marina Militare and SSI Events, ended with the success of Team France-YCSL.

The event proposes the Double Mixed Offshore Worlds as the pinnacle moment of the Adriatic tranche: the first leg started last night at 6pm and is currently under way.

Returning to Diam 24, the leg held in Brindisi in collaboration with the local Circolo della Vela and with the support of the Italian Sailing Federation, brought the typical emotions of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour to full contact with the public, thanks to a series of stadium racing regattas, with the buoys positioned a few meters from the docks of the port, in the shadow of the Monument to the Italian Sailor. The response of the public in Brindisi was commendable: it flocked to attend the show offered by seven crews, protagonists of the championship commented live by Mauro Melandri, the expert voice of the event.

The French team of Benoit Champagnac, winner of the second day, in the overall ranking led by two points Team 3V - U-Earth, helmed by Alessandro Franzì to conquer the first day. The podium was completed by Team Oman, already winner of the series of regattas held between Genoa, Civitavecchia, Gaeta and Naples. The ranking was completed by the girls of Luna Rosa-Intesa San Paolo led by Maelle Frascari, then by the Fiamme Gialle, with the Nacra 17 Olympic champion Ruggero Tita at the helm, by the Marina Militare and by the very young guy of Team Norway-HTB Racing.

The first leg of the Double Mixed Offshore World Championship, organized under the aegis of Sailing.org, started late yesterday afternoon, instead. The ten crews crossed the starting line positioned in the antiport of Brindisi and then put the bows of the Beneteau Figaro 3 towards the island of Pelagosa; the first buoy of a course that will see the fleet heading towards a buoy positioned in front of Bari, then towards Torrecanne and then sail again towards the Apulian capital. A total of 278 miles which, weather conditions permitting, should occupy the crews for the next two days. After the first hours of navigation, Pietro D'Alì and Claudia Rossi, on board Team ENIT, a hull already winner of the Double Mixed Offshore European Championship-Trofeo Alilauro with Alberto Bona and Cecilia Zorzi on board, show the way.
