A permanent position has become available for an Engineer/Fabricator with experience in aluminium and 316 stainless steels to join a growing team. The applicant must be able to carry out the manufacture of items from start to finish, be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.

Duties:

  • Tig welding
  • Fabricating with stainless steel and aluminium
  • Fabrication tasks such as cutting, sawing, bending
  • Lathe experience would be beneficial
  • Strict visual quality control
  • Operating work equipment/fabrication machinery safely, ensuring that safety checks are carried out
  • Diagnosing and resolving design and functional issues arising in the course of a project
  • Interpreting customer drawings
  • Communicating with suppliers when necessary
  • Taking responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for all work tasks
  • Any other duties deemed necessary to the company
Essential Requirements:
  • A sound knowledge of manufacturing
  • Competent use of hand tools
  • Ability to follow engineering drawing/schematics/BOM's
  • Practically minded
  • Good communication skill, both written and spoken
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-management skills
  • Take pride in their work and have a professional approach to it
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work to tight tolerances
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage your time effectively
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Basic health and safety understanding
