Throughout October, the RYA is offering double commission to all clubs, training centres and marine organisations signed up to the RYA Joining Point programme.

The Joining Point scheme provides a quick and easy way for registered organisations to earn commission when they spread the word about RYA membership and encourage their members and customers to join the association.

Throughout October registered Joining Points will receive double the standard commission values of the scheme, receiving £20 commission for every family membership or £15 for every personal membership they sign up. The commission earned can then be fed back in to their organisation.

"The Joining Point scheme is very easy to administer. The promotional materials are clear concise and attractively presented and the scheme provides a clear route and link between club sailing and sailors and the RYA.

"The pricing structure between membership and the cost of an ICC allows us to make an easy sell to newly qualified Powerboat Level 2; 'membership is effectively free, and you get all of the benefits and protections of the RYA and your ICC'", commented Andy Airnes, Training Secretary and the administrator of the Joining Point scheme at Blackpool and Fleetwood Yacht Club.

Gemma Garrett, RYA Membership Engagement Officer commented: "We have run the double commission promotion a number to times now and it proves very popular with our Joining Points. The programme is a real win for everyone involved. The Joining Points earn valuable commission, new members enjoy the benefits of being a member and the RYA membership grows.

"Growing our membership base is vital to support our work ensuring legislators, regulators and other authorities understand and take account of recreational boating activity. Membership funds are also reinvested in to the organisation to help with participation, cruising and government affairs and performance activities, so the support of our Joining Points is crucial", Gemma explained.

As well as supporting the RYA's lobbying activities there are many other great benefits of RYA membership including access to specialist cruising, legal and technical boating advice from in-house experts, exclusive offers and discounts from over 80 member reward partners, helping members keep down the cost of their boating; as well as all the latest news and information.

Existing RYA Joining Points don't need to do anything to register for this special promotion, the double commission will automatically be applied to their account in the November payment run. All they need to do is tell their customers about the benefits of RYA membership and get them to sign up; it's that simple.

The commission paid will depend upon the number of new members that sign up and is paid on a quarterly basis. The amount depends upon they type of membership signed up to.

There are a whole host of promotional materials available to Joining Points that can be ordered via the 'Web to Print Portal". Clubs should visit ryaclub.docs4print.com/login while training centres and marine organisations should visit rya.docs4print.com
