Digging in deep for our customers

We will sail again © Rooster

Having respect for COVID-19 is of course of paramount importance and staying at home, protecting the health services and saving lives is what we should all work hard at doing.

Rooster has taken this very seriously from the start with making sure our team are working from home, putting controlled restrictions in place at our office and warehouse, extending our order returns service to one year and being flexible in how we process and get your orders to you. All of this has been done with two very important goals.

  1. To remain open supporting our customer's requirements throughout this lockdown phase.

  2. To protect our team in the right way that allows us to continue to get your orders dispatched.

Having found this balance, we continue to see many customers considering their boating needs and boat tinkering is certainly the one at the top right now. Whether it's a block, shackles, a bit of gel coat, the world of boat bimbling thrives and we remain a worldwide stockist open and able to serve all of these needs. Second, to this, you are clearly looking at your personal kit requirements too, it is a great time to consider those new gloves, hat for the summer or even the new LongJohn Wetsuit or pair of hikers.

Whatever your thoughts are during this time, we just want to say thank you, it has been a tricky few weeks trying to work out how we can survive when our domestic sales are reduced and our international business is on hold and nobody can go sailing. We like to think that we are a company who are here to help, educate, show a few hacks along the way but most importantly produce great quality functional products at reasonable prices that work in the way you want them to. We pride ourselves on listening to you coupled with great customer service. For every Rooster website and eBay Clearance order, we receive right now, it increases our chances of making it through to the other side.

So whats next? Well with many regattas either postponed or cancelled for the 2020 season, we believe this will be the year where we all keep it local, going to our sailing clubs, supporting our summer (or perhaps Autmum) club regatta weeks, sailing more with local friends and family, in essence, keeping it simple and really engaging with our sport at the simplest level, feeling thankful for getting through COVID-19 slowly and sensibly.

For now, think about those sunny sailing days to come, get ready to pull back those boat covers, but for now, Stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.

From all of us at Rooster.
