Following the announcement from the OK Dinghy British Class Association that Nick Craig's Masterclass is being held on their RYA Dinghy Exhibition stand at 11.30 the Association is equally delighted to say that Robert Deaves, the highly renowned yachting journalist, author and photographer will be available on the Class Association stand, B40, during the 2018 RYA Dinghy Show to sign both of his newly published and acclaimed books.

'And the beer was cold' is the photostory of the 2018 OK Dinghy World Championship held in Barbados and 'chrOniKle' an anecdotal compilation celebrating 60 years of the OK Dinghy.

Robert talks of this book with fondness:

"It was really quite fun to compile this book of anecdotes and yarns. There are so many stories in there that we have heard and told at yacht club bars around the world over the years, and now they are in print for the first time. Of course there were also a lot that couldn't be told, to protect the guilty, so you'll still have to go to the bar to hear those."

"The OK Dinghy class is more of a community than most classes and I hope this comes through in these stories. It is often described as a worldwide family of sailors. There are so many stories of long-lasting friendships made while sailing the boat, some even from 30-40 years ago that are still strong today. I think this is one of the main qualities of the OK class."

"Inevitably, most of the more interesting stories in the book involve beer, or some other form of alcohol, so cheers to everyone who contributed, and cheers to everyone who buys a copy. Enjoy, responsibly, with a beer."

Both books are available from Amazon.
