Miracle Nationals at Plas Heli - Day 2

7-12 August 2016
Ideal racing conditions with a brisk offshore wind and therefore flat seas. Not quite so exhilarating as yesterday but still pretty good.
The leading pack favoured the pin end and the port side of the course but the boats first round the windward mark were from the starboard side. The tide wasn't a huge issue.
Race 2 was won by David and Ross Southwell with the Aldhous duo close behind followed by Hannah and Nick Smith. Hannah then went on to win race 3 with David and Michelle Raines second and the Aldhouses third. It obviously pays in this fleet to sail with a family member!
Another family pairing, Yvonne and Brian Mumford, scored a fourth and a fifth. Simon Reddiclffe crewed by Mark Atherton sailed really well to come fourth in race 3.
Wayne and Angela, hot contenders from yesterday, had to retire from race 3 due to a punctured bow tank.
