Leading marine retailer Ocean Leisure will be hosting the London launch party for the brand new Zhik Avlare® range tonight at 7pm.
The launch marks an opportunity to show off the new gear at the Embankment based store in the presence of customers, marine industry experts and sailing press. For many this will be the first time to get their hands on this revolutionary fabric.
"Having London's premier watersports store hosting this launch party as part of our worldwide launch of the new Avlare® range gives us a fantastic platform to display and show off the new material. Incorporating unseen levels of durable hydrophobic technology this is another example of Zhik pushing the limits of fabric technology to bring sailors revolutionary gear", commented Simon Payne, Zhik's global sales director.
Avlare® is at its core a high stretch, ultra breathable, durably water repellent fabric and is considered outstanding for the expected weather conditions at the Olympics in Rio 2016. Designed to remain completely dry the fabric boasts ½ the weight of dry spandex and ¼ the weight of wet spandex while maintaining UV50+ sun protection.
The new material has shown enormous range no matter what marine environment you face. Worn alone in warm conditions, the fabrics breathability combined with its sun protection will work perfectly to keep you cool while it can also be combined with insulating layers to shield from wind chill in colder climates.
