The Magic Marine Grand Prix circuit has well and truly kicked off with great attendance figures at the Stokes Bay Sailing Club open in April. The close fleet racing with multiple race winners at Stokes Bay is typical of the intense but fun sailing that is shown throughout the tight fleet. The next Grand Prix event is going to be a massive open at Hayling Island Sailing Club. The sixteen boats who attended the sold out coaching weekend at Itchenor Sailing Club are planning to put their new skills into practise there. The Grand Prix will then take in Lymington Town Sailing Club, Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club, Grafham Water Sailing Club and finally Rutland Sailing Club.

2016 is an RS800 Garda year! Lake Garda is the perfect location for blasting an RS800 which is why the fleet simply loves returning there whenever possible. This year the fleet will be racing from lovely Torbole. The International RS800 race scene is growing steadily with more European events.

This year's Volvo Noble Marine National Championship is being billed as the biggest and best ever. Early entries are flooding in with the 2013, 2014 and 2015 National Champions, various European boats and youth helms already signed up. Now the exam season is drawing to a close it is hoped that more sailors who have outgrown the 29er will come and join in the fun. New for this year's nationals are two extra special races and morning seminars. The Saturday party will be headlined by the amazing "Steel Strum", see steelstrum.weebly.com/home.html

The RS800 fleet is not just thriving on the water - on the shore it has a brand new fully responsive website. The new website has drawn together a number of exciting new 2016 initiatives including the new RS800 sailing facebook group, new 2016 Tuning Guide, new demo boat, new ask the expert and the new virtual plank.
