The National 12 Gul Series is looking forward to the 3rd event of the season on 21/22 May at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club.

The RHYC 'Smuggler's Trophy' has evolved from the traditional 12, Lark & Firefly meeting. This year, the RHYC are welcoming the National 12 Gul Series #3, Phantom Eastern Champs and the Wayfarer Class Association's Eastern Area Champs. On a separate race course the club are also running races for Lasers and a handicap fleet. With all the sailing action, it certainly is set to be a fun & vibrant weekend for the RHYC.

The open meeting starts with the first race at 11:00 on the Saturday, followed by two back to back races for all fleets. Following the racing, the club are hosting a 'happy hour' at the bar, before a quiz takes place in the late afternoon food will be served all afternoon / evening. On the Sunday, the Smuggler's Pursuit Race will be sailed. This won't count for the overall series, but will count for a separate prize. For the National 12s, handicaps will be allocated by boat age. This will be followed by two points series races.

The full notice of race is available on the RHYC's website (www.royalharwichyachtclub.co.uk/smugglerstrophy2015.html) including an entry form and poster. The RHYC offers fantastic estuary sailing and outstanding facilities overlooking the River Orwell, including camping on site. This is not a weekend to miss!
