Nine Mustos from Mallorca, mainland Span and Germany arrived at Club Nàutic S'Arenal on the weekend of 16-17 April with spring temperatures (25C), sun and sea breeze.

It was clearly going to be a tough battle between Sergio Gonzalez, Justo Martibez and Andi Lachenschimid in typical 'Embat' conditions (sea breeze from the South West).

On Saturday the helms sailed three races on a sunny day with 10-12 knots from the South West. At the end of the day Sergio was the leader with a one point lead over Justo and two over Andi.

On Sunday it was still sunny and hot but with 15-18 knots from the South West and nice waves that made the day like a dream Musto sailing day. In the first race Andy and Justo were over the line (OCS) and Sergio had a problem (DNS), so things didn't change overall.

In the second race the wind went up to 18 knots with waves, so the Mustos jumped over the waves. Andi and Sergio capsized downwind and Justo crossed the finish line first, That made Justo the new leader but everything was at stake between Sergio and Justo.

In the last race the wind dropped down to 13-14 knots. Sergio took the lead with Andy and Justo behind. At the leeward mark Sergio was still first and Justo was very close but a mistake made Justo take a swim and that gave the Eurocup title to Sergio.

After racing C.N.Arenal invited the sailors to a paella in a friendly lunch with the committee.

Thanks to C.N.Arenal who made everything easy; professional committee, photographer and paella.

See you all next year.
