The hardy sailors at East Lothian Yacht Club continued with their Frostbite Series on Saturday 6 February 2016 with three races held in Force 3 Easterly winds. Since the start of the year, racing has been held over 3 Saturdays, with racing cancelled on the other Saturdays due to bad weather. Each race usually lasts about 40 minutes, and is held around a course set around racing marks in the waters between North Berwick Harbour and Craigleith.
The first race was won by John Wilcox in his Laser singlehanded dinghy with a margin of 23 seconds over the second placed dinghy. The second race of the day was won by his son Ben Wilcox in his RS200 dinghy. In the third race Iain McGonigal sailed his RS Aero 7 to a win with a very small margin of 2 seconds over John Hookway sailing his Streaker dinghy.
With only two Saturdays left in the series, the current overall leader is Paul Rigg in his RS300 dinghy who scored 3 first places on Saturday 23 January.
