P&B/Winner Optimist team 2016 Selected!
So after months of waiting and the suspense building the 2016 P&B/Winner team has been chosen.
With the Winner team boats arriving late February and out on the circuit early March P&B and Winner have selected 4 sailors to follow in the footsteps of recent P&B Winner sailor and Optimist national champion Vita Heathcote.
The only returning member and apparent elder statesman is:-

Kit Of The Week!William (Mani) Heathcote: With a stunning breakthrough year Mani rose to Oppy prominence in 2014 meaning that his selection alongside his sister for the 2105 was guaranteed, however this is a  big year for Mani. The feeling is that it is now time for him to come out of his sister’s shadow and really become a dominant force in the class.
Alongside Mani we welcome three other members.

Haydn SewellHaydn Sewell: Top 5 ranked sailor. A strong confidant of Mani, the pair have recently returned from the Team Racing Championships in Monaco. They beat the hosts to win a place in the quarter finals eventually losing by a point to the eventual winners (Switzerland). A wonderful addition to the 2016 team.

Archie Leckie:Archie Leckie: Currently 13 years old Archie had a breakthrough year in 2015.
1st overall at the prestigious Lymington 2015 open, Archie backed it up with 7th overall at the 2015 nationals and then went on to take the overall title at the Irish championships, cementing his place in this year’s 2016 Winner team.

 Kai Wolgram:

Kai Wolgram: Fair to say Kai is flying at the moment,  The junior (in terms of age) of the 2016 Winner team Kai is the youngest sailor in the GBR National Squad having originally been selected at the age of just 11.
In 2015 Kai was the French national junior champion and the top under 12 at the UK championships.
Kia has had a cracking start to 2016 recently finishing 10th at the international Naples regatta.
Good luck to all the team for 2016. Follow us and them  at www.pinbax.com or on our Facebook page:-
