Broadcaster, adventurer and explorer Monty Halls will compère the 2016 RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show, in association with Yachts and Yachting.

A former Royal Marines Officer, Monty has spent over two decades leading teams in some of the most remote environments on earth. He has presented wildlife and adventure documentaries and worked with companies both in the UK and overseas.

Monty has written several books, and is a regular contributor to magazines and newspapers, many of them communicating his enthusiasm for the natural world.

Monty said: "I'm very excited to be involved with the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show. Sailing is a sport for everyone, and it's the accessibility right across the spectrum that really attracts me. It's a great way for young children to introduce themselves to the marine environment, learning about the wind, weather and marine safety and becoming little explorers.

"There are some really interesting things scheduled for the show, and I'm really looking forward to visiting as a fan as well to find out more about the sport as a whole. I really think the show will be great for young families to explore what is out there."

The Dinghy Show will once again be held at Alexandra Palace London, from 05-06 March 2016, with a packed weekend of talks on the Suzuki Main Stage, interactive coaching sessions and workshops sure to appeal to dinghy sailors of all ages and abilities.

Advance tickets are available at a reduced rate of £10 to RYA members and £12.50 to non-RYA members. RYA Affiliated Clubs are encouraged to make a day of it and travel en masse, and if you make a group booking in advance of 10 or more people, affiliates can benefit from the RYA members price of £10 per person. All advance tickets will be available until midnight on Friday, 4 March 2016. A transaction fee of £1.50 applies to each transaction. Tickets will also be available on the door for £16 each and each adult ticket entitles you to bring up to two children free of charge. You can buy tickets online or by calling the ticket hotline on 0844 858 9069 (calls are charged at 7p per minute, plus network extras). Those purchasing advance tickets will also receive three digital editions of Yachts and Yachting magazine free of charge.

In an exciting development this year, your 2016 RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show ticket (or exhibitor pass) will also exclusively admit you into the spectator area for the UK leg of the ISAF Sailing World Cup Series on Saturday, 11 June 2016. By attending the event at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, you'll be able to watch the penultimate day's action on the big screen, with live-tracking and footage from the race courses. You can witness first-hand the final preparations for the Rio Olympics as the WPNSA Sailing World Cup draws to a conclusion.

The RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show will offer the perfect chance to kick start your sailing season in 2016, so make sure you get your tickets today.
