Sixteen 2.4s turned up to a wintery Portland for the last of the RYA ranking series. The fleet was slightly smaller than the last ranker as many are off next week to Belgium for the Antwerp City Cup.

The race committee set up in the eastern end of the harbour which meant the shifts were coming thick and fast. The fleet was very compact in all 5 races.

Jonny Currell took the first race with a skill full downwind from Helena Lucas.

Helena was back on form taking two of the other bullets from the day. Megan Pascoe managed the other two wins from the day. Both Nev Millard and Morgan Bugler were having a great weekend with Morgan leading the 7th race and Nev getting a 3rd in the 4th race.

Ben Johnson Rolfe in his new boat was having a consistent regatta finishing most of the races inside the top ten. It was John Brooker on the Sunday that was causing problems at the top of the fleet, never quite managing to win a race but getting two 2nds.

The battle for the regatta was between Megan and Helena with it all coming down to the last race. John was doing his best down to the last run to keep second but couldn't quite hold onto Megan which let Megan have the regatta win.

Once again the 2.4s were the biggest fleet thanks to the support from Sport England, Welsh Yachting, UK Sport and the RYA moving disabled racing forward.

Top three results in final event:

1st Megan Pascoe
2nd Helena Lucas
3rd John Brooker
