Alex Thomson Racing are pleased to announce Survitec Group as their official marine safety equipment partner. As part of a three year sponsorship agreement Survitec will supply a complete range of Crewsaver lifejackets including the ErgoFit Extreme for use offshore and the recently launched Crewfit Pro, ideal for inshore racing. All of the lifejackets have been custom made to meet the teams branding requirements.

As well as the Crewsaver lifejackets, Survitec Group will also supply liferafts, flares and all other safety equipment required to sail single handed, non-stop around the world. In addition through a 600+ network of service stations Survitec Group will conduct a full service of the team's safety equipment at a service station which is convenient for the team at the time.

Ross Wilkinson, Managing Director of Crewsaver and Survitec Group UK, commented, "Crewsaver is delighted to partner with Alex Thomson Racing & 5 West Ltd. ATR continues to push the boundaries of what is possible on the water providing us with the most advanced feedback to aid with our on-going development of the latest cutting- edge safety technology."

Preparation is the key to survival as Alex Thomson and his team prepare for his ultimate goal onboard HUGO BOSS, to be the first British Skipper to win the Vendée Globe starting in November 2016. The new HUGO BOSS is currently being built at Green Marine Southampton, whilst the onshore team prepare and plan for his first offshore race later this year.

Ross Daniels Operations Manager, 5 West Ltd says "We are really happy to be working with such a great brand as our safety kit official partner. The safety equipment provided by Survitec will be put through its paces when Alex Thomson Racing are offshore in some of the most extreme conditions known to man. We have to have the best marine safety equipment onboard."

The Survitec Group will be the official safety kit partner for all racing yachts managed by 5 West Ltd.
