On 15 July 1995 Mark Giles launched the prototype Supernova '357' for the first time at West Oxford Sailing Club. Just look at how far we have come in 20 years. Now being made Hartley Boats, the Supernova is a fantastic boat that truly has meant that the Supernova fleet has become incredibly competitive and popular, as was seen with the battles at this years nationals where 67 boats raced in Paington.
In the photo above you can see Mark leading at the 2006 West Oxford open meeting.
Let's do Mark and the Class proud with the Association's 20th year Nationals in Llandudno (July 2016) where we aim to reach the 100 mark for the first time. A realistic target taking into account how popular the class has become in recent times and how dedicated our sailors are.
