ZhongJin Shanghai International Regatta postponed

Due to the tragic passenger vessel disaster that occurred on the Yangtze River on 1st June 2015 the ZhongJin Shanghai International Regatta 2015 will be postponed. Event organisers 5 West Ltd. and Shanghai Yuanzhou Cultural Communication Co. have made the decision to review safety protocols following the accident.
Over the last 6 months 5 West and Yuanzhou have worked closely with the Shanghai Sports Bureau, China Maritime Safety Authority, Expo Development Group as well as other local authorities, to create a new and exciting sporting event for Shanghai. Both parties will continue to work with all relevant local authorities to reschedule the event and ensure that it is delivered, on water and off water, in a safe and successful manner.
It is our intension to host a press conference later this year to announce revised plans for the inaugural ZhongJin Shanghai International Regatta in 2016.
