IRC Solent Region Championship 2015 Day 1 Preview: The Clarkson Cup

Organised by The Royal Southampton Yacht Club

Expanded for 2015 the IRC Solent Region Championship comprises eight days of racing hosted by eight top Solent clubs.

Day 1 is the RSYC Clarkson Cup Regatta on Saturday 16th May, consisting of 2 races "around the cans" in The Central Solent, with the first warning at 10.00.

The Committee boat will be in the vicinity of Hill Head.

Entries are welcome from all IRC boats with a TCC between 0.820 and 1.360.

Boats can enter any combination of individual events or the whole series. Race documents will be available on the web sites soon, see below.

Fees for entry via SIRCOA:

  • TCF 1.000 or above - £40 per race or £280 for the whole series
  • TCF 0.999 or lower - £35 per race or £245 for the whole series

All crews are welcome back to the RSYC Ocean Village clubhouse where the bar will be open from 6.30pm and prizes will be awarded. A scrumptious crew supper will also be available.
