Rooster Sailing will be the title sponsor of the Southern Area Topper Traveller series © Rooster

Rooster Sailing will be the title sponsor of the Southern Area Topper Traveller series for 2015 this is exciting news for 5.3 and 4.2 sailors as both will have a series trophy and prizes presented at the final event along with presentations of awards at each event.

Rooster are very keen for you to take part in the series and will support the class very well. We have some great ideas to keep all sailors keen to attend - so low and high points mean prizes and trophies.

Our first race is at the charming Spinnaker Sailing club (see map online) on Sunday April 19th with open to all coaching on the Saturday 18th. This is a pre-booked coaching session with some experienced Topper coaches.

Spinnaker is a great place for the first event of the year as it's shifty winds challenge all sailors of varying experience but without a barrowful of chop thrown in, its the perfect place for the new 4.2 sailors to get to grips with an open meeting and the high skilled 5.3ers to tame the winds.

4.2 numbers are looking promising so if you have any 4.2 friends that aren't on the mailing list please encourage them to come along there will be a welcoming atmosphere for them plus cakes. The more that take part in the series the more fun and experiences you will all have.

The area rep has two 4.2 sails which also can be loaned for an event (the series requires genuine Topper sails to be used in order to count).
