Day 2 of the 2015 Fireball North Americans being sailed from the David Island Yacht club, Tampa, Florida and sponsored by Weathermark Sailboats was scheduled for a 10am start. After a 40 minute delay racing got underway in a SE wind of 8 to 10 knots.
Tof Nichol-Griffith and Peter Kelly showed the way with the first of three bullets on the day. Tof, sailing a Weathermark boat, said, "its easy to be smart when you're going fast."
Pat Crump and Jane Millican are in a battle with Pete VanRossem and Rune Lausten for second and are separated by two points after six races. Eric Owston and Lisa Leblanc are the Canadian meat in a Swiss sandwich with Christina Haerdi and Andrew Davies ahead by 3 points, followed by Mianne Erne and Clay Poulson.
Later in the afternoon and the fleet was sent ashore after the expected sea breeze failed to materialise. The final day of racing concludes tomorrow.
