The 2015 Falmouth Classics Regatta (FH2015) is preparing to set sail for three days of spectacular racing. Coinciding with the popular Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, the regatta and Parade of Sail is set to attract more competitors and spectators than ever. The three-day event will take place between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th June 2015.

With both onshore and off-shore activities available, the weekend promises to bring together both the town and the sailing community. As well as giving competitors three days of racing and rallying, the Parade of Sail can be enjoyed by spectators from vantage points around Falmouth.

Last year, the regatta introduced free berthing for visiting boats and vessels from as far as France joined in the fun. This year, competitors can expect further developments with a dedicated mooring area for competitors. Thanks to the sponsorship of the NVA Group and the help of Falmouth Harbour Commissioners, the event will again offer free berthing at the outer sections of Falmouth Haven.

Henry Roberts, chairman of the Falmouth Classics Association, said: "We expect the weekend to bring three enjoyable days of classic boat racing and rallying around the Fal Estuary.

"Falmouth provides many vantage points for spectators, offering spectacular views of the Regatta and Parade of Sail which takes place in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay."

Free berthing will be offered to vessels up to 50ft LOD and free moorings for larger vessels. The berths are limited, so availability will be based on a "first come – first served" basis. Preferably, berths are to be booked when registering for an event online. Competitors that are trailering down to Falmouth can enjoy the facilities of Falmouth Boatyard for launching and recovery.

Bookings for the onshore and sailing events can now be made through the official website at, www.falmouthclassics.org.uk
