The Lightning368 fleet heads to one of the series' most popular venues this coming Saturday (11th October) when we descend on Haversham SC for our Inland Championships (kindly supported by Noble Marine).
Fresh from his win last time out at Bristol Avon, youngster Alexander Baxter has closed the gap to series leader Richard Palmer to just five points, so still has a great chance of the overall title - keeping the series close yet again as we go into this penultimate round of the 2014 Grand Prix series.
With Richard and Alex battling for top spot, there's still a chance for others to time their final run in - namely Paul White and Caroline Key, both carrying some decent 'discardable' scores from previous rounds. So, all getting pretty tense then, setting us up for a potential grandstand finale at West Oxford in November.
Back to Haversham, though, and with three races scheduled and a nice forecast in the offing, we expect a good sized fleet at this popular and easy to get to venue.
If you want to find out more about the class and the boats in the flesh, then you're more than welcome to come down and say hello and take a look around at what makes the class such a great place to go racing - over ridingly friendly, sociable and rather polite out on the water!
Haversham SC is just a few miles North of Milton Keynes and can be found at www.havershamsc.co.uk
