Stuart Childerley is a multiple sailing champion & Finn Olympian, & also Race Officer at the Zhik UK 29er Nationals; he has often competed at 'tricky' championships but the conditions at North Berwick have certainly challenged his race management skills.

Day four dawned light with sunny spells but black rain clouds were looming. Racing was scheduled for 1pm to allow A level students to 'sort out' their university placements. By the time the fleet reached the race course a huge black cloud was making slow progress across the Firth of Forth. The course was relaid 90 degrees right, the wind picked up from 4 knots to 11 knots but then the rain came & the wind disappeared.

Racing was postponed after one attempt at a start for Gold fleet but then the fleet was sent home. Three races are needed to consolidate the championship so an 8 am start time is planned for the final day.

So Gillies Munro & Dan Harris still top the leader board with 2012 National Champ Matt Venables & Curtis Mearns in 2nd; 2013 Youth National Champs Mimi El Khazindar & Ben Batten in 3rd; 2012 GP series winners Rob & Emma Loveridge in 4th; 2013 National Champ Owen Bowerman & Morgan Peach in 5th.
