Supernova and Phantom Open Meeting at Hunts Sailing Club - Preview

Saturday 12th July sees Hunts SC host its first ever Supernova Open as the class has enjoyed a meteoric rise in popularity at the Cambridgeshire club. There are now several Supernovas out racing regularly, with a few more having enjoyed early season race training and now ready to enter the fray.

The Phantom fleet will race on the same day.

Hunts is a smallish but perfectly formed gravel pit, which suits this versatile and tweakable singlehander very well, and it's hoped this inaugural event will receive the support of near neighbours and ensure its continuance well into the future.

The first race is planned for 11.00am, with a competitor briefing at 10.30. Two further races will follow after lunch.

Six locals race in the lightest of winds On the 9th October 2021 Hunts SC, home of class chair Paul Jefferies, finally got to hold a D-Zero open meeting. After the meeting was scuppered by weed in 2019 and Covid in 2020 this year looked like it should be a good event. Posted on 12 Oct 2021
