The first race started in a light force 2 wind and everyone got away cleanly. The wind frequently dropped and its direction was anything but constant which resulted in the fleet soon becoming stretched along the lake. Mark Coppenhall, 427 was first through the gate after the first lap followed by Nigel Fern, 845 and Eddie Pope, 804. By the end of the second lap Eddie Pope had worked his way to the lead but John Coppenhall, 532 had come through from seventh to second. Mark Coppenhall had dropped off a little to third place. As the race approached the hour the race was finished at the end of lap three. Eddie Pope had maintained his lead closely followed by Mark Coppenhall and John Coppenhall.

The second race started after lunch in very light wind. The OOD kept the same course as used for the first race but decided to end the race at the end of lap one with Eddie Pope in the lead having taken over half an hour to complete his lap. Henry Jaggers, 800 came in next very closely followed by John Coppenhall and Chris Robinson, 867.

With the wind remaining light and shifty the OOD decided that a simple triangular course set centrally in the lake would give better sailing. Eddie Pope got away from the pack and built up a large lead whilst some way behind others kept swapping places as different decisions were made on which was the fastest route around the course. At the end however the usual suspects had made their way through. Henry Jaggers took second with Mark and John Coppenhall third and fourth respectively.
