The weather gods continued to smile on the Cadet Class World Championship Team Selector series, with perfect weather for the Peter Scott Trophy at Stone meaning that, since the series began at the beginning of April, all 18 races have been run on schedule.

In the Peter Scott Trophy Alex Warrington crewed by Anna Wootton (Thorpe Bay/Waldringfield SC) opened their account with 2 race wins on the Saturday, while Alex Page and Aaron Chadwick (Brightlingsea/Fisher's Green) and local sailors Lucy and Cally Terkelsen (Stone SC) looked to be contenders too, both with two podium finishes from three races.

On Sunday a win in Race 4 for Alex Page and Aaron was followed by victory in Race 5 for Alex Warrington and Anna, meaning that Race 6 would be a decider for the event. After two of the leading boats were caught by the black flag it was Alex Page and Aaron Chadwick who pulled through the fleet on the first lap and then pulled away to take the race win and the Peter Scott Trophy. Alex and Anna held onto 2nd place overall with Lucy and Cally 3rd.

In the Silver Fleet new names were added to the honours board with Anna Morgan and Phoebe Bradshaw (Frensham Pond SC) sailing a solid series that included a 7th in Race 5 to win overall. The Bronze Fleet was dominated by the Fisher's Green pairing of James Hague and Rishi Goswami who warmed up with a 9th place in Race 1 before winning all of the remaining five races.

As the conclusion to the GBR World Team Selector series the weekend was all about those lying between 5th and 15th after the first two events, all of whom were still in with a chance of making the team. Once again racing was close and hard-fought, with only 3 points deciding the final team place. Willow and Cara Bland from Waldringfield SC led the series throughout and won from Lucy and Cally Terkelsen with Alex Page and Aaron Chadwick third. Full series results can be found here.
