The RS Tera Class Association UK is delighted to announce that Dutch clothing brand Magic Marine have agreed to sponsor major UK class events and the GBR RS Tera team for the next three seasons. The company will be title sponsor for the 2014 National Championships and Inland Championships and prizes sponsor for the 2014 Start of Season Championships.

The Magic Marine RS Tera National Championships will take place at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club from 22nd to 25th August, where the class will introduce a regatta fleet for the first time and expect an entry in excess of 100 young sailors.

The Magic Marine RS Tera Inland National Championship will be hosted by Draycote Water Sailing Club on the 28th and 29th of June and the Start of Seasons Championship will be held at Northampton Sailing Club on 26th and 27th April.

At the end of May, the GBR RS Tera team head to Bruinisse in Holland for the European Championships and in August to South Africa for the World Championships.

Magic Marine stands for performance based sailing gear covering the wide range of sailing disciplines including the introduction of faster, more dangerous boats. Magic Marine has launched a full Protector Series range including a helmet for sailors' safety. The brand pushes to be one step ahead recognizing that sailors are sailing faster, longer and in all weather conditions.

Magic Marine is driven from the core of the sport. The brand is driven by sailors for sailors and is pushed by all that the water offers to us as sailors. Rain, snow, wind or sun; we are 'Driven by the Elements'.

"Partnering with the RS Tera class enables Magic Marine to work with the fastest growing junior single handed class worldwide. The sport needs fresh new faces and Magic Marine is proud to contribute to this and looks forward to being part of their stories," says Andy Taphouse UK Sales Manager, Magic Marine.

Ian Jameson, UK Class Association Chairman, stated "We are delighted to announce Magic Marine support as naming rights sponsor for the National and Inland Championships, we are sure they will be tremendous events. Magic Marine is a perfect partner for the RS Tera Class through their links with RS Sailing, and we are looking forward to working with them over the next three years."

The RS Tera class has seen accelerated growth in popularity and is proving to be a winner with young people around the world; the class maintains an emphasis on fun combined with competitive sailing at an affordable cost, so it really is ability and attitude rather than deep pockets that is delivering results.

2014 is an important year for the continued development of the class in the UK following on from a tremendous 2013 season, which saw 98 entries for the Nationals and 123 for the World Championships in Weymouth.
