IT's TIME FOR A SPRING CLEAN!

For many of you the end of the Boat Show and the change in the weather often signals the start of the sailing season. This also means that the unnerving task of rolling back your boat covers to realise the list of jobs you left behind last season is still to be done!

It is easy to underestimate the importance of spring cleaning. Our opinion is that it is a necessary evil when it comes to pro longing your boats life span and making sure it stays in the best shape. For us the main things to do are:
  1. Clean any grime, dirt and stains.
  2. Check all fittings for wear & tear.
  3. Check water exposed areas such as mast step, shrouds and forestay.
  4. Check all hatch seals for degradation.
  5. Lubricate blocks & cleats.
For our bigger boat sailors there is also the task of antifouling which is vital to maintaining the hull, keeping it clean, looking good and more importantly keeping your boat moving at top speed. With the P&B Bavaria going out on charter in the coming months it is a task that we know oh so well. So, if you're thinking about getting back out on the water then P&B are here to help with all the product and advice you could need.

We have a huge range of paints available in-store and on-line so if you know what you're looking for then visit our paint & varnishes section on the website or call us on 01489 577748.
