1-2 March 2014
Over the weekend of 1-2 March, the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show 2014 will play host to over 200 exhibitors from sailing clubs, classes and associations to commercial businesses who will fill the exhibition halls with everything you need to get started or improve your dinghy sailing.
If it's new boats you're after, pay a visit to one of the many Class Associations who will be proudly exhibiting their latest models such as Devoti Sailing who will be launching the Devoti D-Zero (stand G30) or the new Hadron single-handed dinghy from Bluemotion Yachts which is making its first appearance on stand C38.
Fancy some new kit? Pay a visit to Harken (stand G38) who will be displaying all their latest products including their Crossbow Self-Tacking Jib System and new Fast Release Cam Fairleads. Over on stand G4 you can find dinghy clothing and accessories company Shipmates, who will once again be retailing wetsuits, drysuits, dinghy tops, gloves, kneepads and luggage, all at discount prices.
Join the Miracle and the 505 class associations who are both celebrating special anniversaries at the show with historical displays in the West Corridor (40 years for the Miracle class and 60 for the 505 class). The will be five Miracles on display including the oldest surviving, which was built in 1974 and four 505s from across the ages. Find out more about these classes and how they have developed over time on stand C60 (Miracle) and B52 (505).
There are plenty of prizes up for grabs from the many competitions and prize draws taking place throughout the weekend. Don't forget to visit CurraDinghy on stand (G24) to be in for a chance to win an Optimist Dinghy. France Leisure Holidays will be running a free prize draw giving away a week's holiday for two people at their Vendee location, including a ferry crossing! Find them on stand A8.
If you're looking to get involved in the sport or perhaps find out where to go sailing locally, discover what the clubs and training centres exhibiting at the show have to offer, from training courses and taster sessions to volunteering opportunities and social events.
