16-year old Adam Fisher has received the Milton Keynes Sports Achiever of the Month award for November, in recognition for his regional and national success in dinghy racing. He will now attend the Sports Achiever of the Year event at Shenley Leisure Centre on Tuesday 3 December.

A junior sailor with Emberton Park Sailing Club near Olney, Adam won the Junior Sailing trophy at the North West Norfolk Sailing Association Regatta Week in August, sailing there for the first time single-handedly in challenging conditions achieving first placed Junior Sailor and fifth place overall.

An active sailor at his local club for the last 8 years, Adam has recently changed class of boat, moving from a Topper to the Olympic-class Laser Radial Dinghy. At club level, Adam sails against both adults and juniors and this summer also represented the Milton Keynes and Bucks Youth Sailing Association team at the National Schools' Sailing Regatta in Cumbria.
