The 10.2 and 8.4 fleets sailed together but with separate results.

10.2 Fleet

Although unusually he was beaten on the water by various 8.4s, Huw Powell was dominant in the 10.2 fleet with straight wins. Kieron Holt was second followed by Adrien Dagorne who travelled from France.

8.4 fleet

Race 1 (agreed to be a 'practice' race because the wind was well under 4 knots) was won by newcomer Ben Willows who was on the right side of a 50 degree shift on a course without a beat.

Race two was won by Colin Bird on his first day of racing in the class, Tom Partington was second chased by Clive Eplett

Sunday started early with a 10am start in a steady force 3 – 4 and beautiful sunshine. Greg Booth led race three followed by Mark Harrison and Clive, but Clive, knowing it was only 2 laps, crossed the line to win as the first 2 started an extra lap.

On the first leg of the fourth race Mark gained a huge lead which he held to the finish, followed by Tom and Giles Peckham. Greg took the next with Tom winning the scrap for 2nd place from Clive and Andrew Wilson. With the top 4 (Tom, Clive, Greg and Mark) separated by only 3 points it was down to the last race in which Giles and Mike Adams started at the pin, went a long way left and arrived at the windward mark with a good lead. Giles sailed on to win but Mark took second from Mike on the last run.

The first 4 boats finished within 2 points overall, reflecting the close racing over the weekend. Mark won on count back from Tom both with 10 points, and Greg with 12 points lost on count back yet again, Clive gaining third place to leave him 4th.
