GBR D-One charter boats available for Winter 2013-14

The GBR D-One Class Association is pleased to announce for the Winter of 2013/14 the availability of two short term charter boats sponsored by Devoti Sailing & Suntouched Sailboats. These boats will be available to charter for up to 3 week periods at a cost of £150 plus a refundable deposit. Should a boat be purchased the charter fee will be refunded (less Class Association membership).
The boats will be based at Oxford Sailing Club but will be available to try at 'your own club' or you can choose to join the D-One fleet sailing at Oxford Sailing Club this winter.
This is a very exciting time to join the class. After a fantastic summer with a hot, hot, hot European Championship held at Garda, Italy, and a very competitive but also great fun Gold Cup at Attersee, Austria, the fleet now looks forwards to a UK based European Championships in 2014. Twelve European boats have already confirmed attendance and have already booked a trailer, with more foreign boats currently organising transport.
As well as the UK based European Championships, which will also be run as the UK nationals, there will be UK Grand Prix series and the Gold Cup which is to be held in Italy, October 2014. Charter boats are available for all international events through Devoti Sailing or Suntouched Sailboats.
The next UK event will be the Inland Championships to be held at Queen Mary Sailing Club, 16 and 17 November. Charter boats are currently available for this event, but don't hang around! Otherwise feel free to come down and say hello or to join us in the evening for a beer and a curry.
