28-29 September 2013
Join us for the annual fun race in aid of the Yarmouth RNLI station. There's still time to enter at the early rate (until Wednesday 18th September).
A change of destination from Yarmouth in previous years for our annual charity event this year brings the racers and cruisers to the RSYC 'Gins' clubhouse on the Beaulieu River.
This is intended as a fun race and we encourage racers and cruisers alike, enticing those would-be cruiser-racers with a white sail class!
Those racing will have a civilised start time of around 11am from mid-Solent, followed by a race of around 3 hours' duration, ending up in the western Solent as close to the Beaulieu river entrance as conditions will permit. this year, there'll also be a race back to the mid-Solent starting at a reasonable time on Sunday morning.
Whether you're racing or cruising to the Beaulieu River, there will be space for most boats to moor on the newly extended walk-ashore pontoon with others being accommodated on the mid-stream pontoon.
This event incorporates a two course Hog roast supper with coffee at a cost of £17.95 per person at our Gins clubhouse with an auction and a raffle; all of which are intended to raise funds for the RNLI.
We have a strong tradition of supporting this charity and it is our intention that this will continue as an autumn event.
