John Sims & Tony Christopher would be running the racing this morning. The weather was reasonable and with wind blowing at 14 knots average, the gusts of some 18-19 knots should not prove to be too much of a handful. The ebb was getting stronger as things progressed though, meaning wind over tide.

Thirty boats came out to play with thirteen fast fleet, fourteen medium fleet & three slow fleet boats. The fast fleet start was as per schedule with the medium & slow fleets starting 5 minutes later.

In the fast fleet Nigel Walbank led the way round in his Musto Skiff with Declan Clamp & Gary Stones second in their B14. Third was John Cooper & Becci Wigley in their RS 400. This order became the result as the handicaps did not affect the finish positions. In the medium fleet the Blazes of Myles Mence & Nick Fagan would take the line honours from Simon White in his Supernova third. The handicaps did have an effect this time though, Myles Mence held on to the win but both Simon White and Mike Beggs would take second & third respectively, relegating Nick to fourth. In the slow fleet Louis Giron & Liam Willis were first over the water but the RS Teras of Robby Boyd (first) & Tom Goacher (second) both scored higher after handicapping.

In the second race Nigel Walbank in his Musto Skiff was again first over the water with Matthew Thomas & Steve Nicholas in their RS 400 second and Keith & Julie Willis RS 400, third. When the handicaps were applied this time Nigel had not done enough and ended up in fourth place. In the medium fleet Myles would again take the line honours and the handicap win, this time from Richard Russell (RS 100) second. Philip Gwyther though in his Laser Radial, despite being fifth over the water would claim third place behind Richard Russell. The slow fleet results ended up as a repeat of the first race with Robby taking first from Tom Goacher second & Louis & Liam third.
