Round two of the North West Enterprise Top Helm Award
Winsford hosted another excellent Enterprise Open Meeting with close racing and super courses in a good force 3 wind.
First race was won new pairing Royston Taggart (Pilkington) and Lisa Woods (Etherow) who fought a hard battle throughout against Richard Critchley and Izzy Sowley Both pairs from Pilkington and Sam Woods (Glossop) with Rick Hayton (Etherow). John Berry and Erika Hayton arrived late to steal third place on the last tack.
The second race was won by Sam and Rick with John and Erika second and local crew Malcolm Friar and Linda Shaw third.
The last race was all to play for with either Sam, Royston or John able to win the regatta with a win however it was Richard Critchley and Isabelle who won the last race leaving Sam Woods and Rick Hayton as winners of the Winsford 2012 Enterprise Open and their first ever Open Win!
