Today once againm at the 21st Imperia Winter Regatta, it was not possible to finish any of the scheduled races.
With a 2 hour delay the fleet sailed to the racing areas and the Race Committees at around midday fired the first start, but soon the light (not more than 5 knots) north westerly wind dropped and the races had to be abandoned.
The 470 fleet, men and women, the 420 ladies fleet, had just turned the first windward mark, the other class boats - 420 open, Laser and Laser Radial- where about to get to it.
After a while, as nothing was going to change regarding the wind, the Committees decided to abandon all thd day's races.
Nothing changes in the overall results after the races sailed on the first day.

Tomorrow IWR 2010 comes to an end with the last races for the 470s (man and women), Laser Standard and Radial (women). The first scheduled start is at 10am.
Twenty-four countries are represented in the 20101 IWR fleet with teams coming from Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Netherland, Poland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, and the Ukraine.
