Salcombe came to the fore again despite the vile weather forecast with racing taking place when no one thought it could happen!
The northeasterly winds gave great blasting conditions through the Bag and into Widegates but gave typical washing machine conditions off the Club.
With everything still to play for and a number of teams in contention for top honours competition was fierce on the water. Richard Whitworth and Sally Townend master the conditions to take their second bullet of the week with Simon Blake second and David Winder third. Super smooth Taxi put himself out of the chocolates with a sixth, in the morning race.
The breeze for the afternoon race had more bite in it (and also a taste for carbon) and the safety boats were kept busy ducking the shards of mast flying about. Team Calvert put on a virtuoso display to take a win by a massive margin from Tom Stewart. However a third for William Warren and Chris Robinson was sufficient to give them the overall win by one point from Mike Calvert and Chris Downham.
