Iconic New Zealand clothing brand, Line 7, is making its UK comeback debut with the Inshore Jacket, Inshore Smock and Aquatec trousers.

Line 7, whose clothing has won more America's Cups than any other brand and has protected top-class sailors at events around the world for over 40 years, has introduced the Inshore range as a 'crossover' choice, equally at home on land or at sea. The Inshore is the answer for sailors who require a high level of performance at sea but also want something to wear ashore that is stylish. The chic panel layout and tonal hood achieves this combination, yet in essence the clothing gives top performance and protection in the elements at sea.

A choice of Inshore Jacket or Inshore Smock are both 100% waterproof and windproof with breathable properties in a 100% nylon twill. The jacket is styled wth all the top features you would expect from a premium brand of foulweather gear including articulated elbows for easy movement, inner and outer stormflap with gutter system and a facility for attaching a lifejacket. The smock has a large front pocket with water resistant zips, a waterproof neck opening and close fitting neoprene waistband.

The Aquatec 2 trouser is co-ordinated to be worn with either the jacket or smock and has the same fabric qualities. It has reinforced and abrasion resistant knees and seat, and articulated knees for a better fit.

Like all Line 7's performance clothing in the marine collection, the Inshore Range is manufactured to the very highest standards, and is a result of a design process that has been created and tested in the world's very harshest conditions by the champion sailors of whom New Zealand is so proud, a process which has enabled quality and performance to be honed to the finest detail.

The Inshore range, along with Line 7's other foul weather ranges, is now available in selected chandleries around the UK.

Legend has it that "The Line Seven" was considered to be a good luck charm for mariners. A palmist's term it refers to the seventh line of the hand. The length of the line was directly related to the luck of the bearer.
