The dinghy show may be only three weeks behind us and the UK sailing season proper just getting under way, but Mike Rice's visit to the RS200 South West circuit event at Bristol Corinthian YC on Saturday 28 March was Fotoboat's 20th event of the year so far. Mike, Fotoboat's founder, said 'it looks like being another busy year for the team. We had a great boost at the start of the year, with Alan Henderson sending back some fantastic shots from Australia and New Zealand. We are looking forward to a busy UK championship season and lots of other events at clubs all round the UK.'

For the third year running, the RS Association has appointed Fotoboat to be the official class championship photographers. Pete Vincent, RS Association chair, said 'It's good to be working with Fotoboat again. They have captured some memorable images of RS sailors over the past couple of years.'

Fotoboat is also continuing its work as official championship photographers for the Solo and Laser 2000 fleets. The Solos will be North of the border at East Lothian YC for their 2009 nationals, where Alan Henderson will be on hand to capture the action. Clare Turnbull, well known by many in the Laser 2000 fleet, will be covering their nationals at Hayling Island.

Fotoboat will be very active at WPNSA this year, represented by Steve Bell Gary Fitch and Mike Rice. Key events at the Academy are the Laser 2 worlds and the Fireball UK nationals. Fotoboat has been appointed official photographers for both events.

Back to the immediate present - Mike is going to Palma Mallorca next week for the Princess Sofia regatta. If any of the campaigners going there need any good action shots for their sponsors (or their grannies...), they should call Mike on 07774 946930 and ask him to look out for them.

The Fotoboat team wish you all a great season and look forward to seeing you on the water.
