New ambitions rising

On day two of the European 6m Championships and the Bay of Morbihan is still showing off the best weather conditions, light southerly winds and plenty of sunshine. Three races were completed and the leaders in both the Classics and Moderns have come under increasing pressure.

Britain's Andy Postle still leads in the Classics with a strong performance today on board 'Titia', but the Danish title holder Hans Oen on 'Sunray' is closing in thanks to a remarkable day.

There is very much the same scenario amongst the Modern fleet; Germany's Courage IX (Alba Batzill) now has to cope with France's Yann Marilley in a strong second, with a desire to remain undefeated in his home waters.

More action tomorrow for the last day of this exciting championship. 9 nations are represented among the 36 entries.
