A good day for the favorites

European title holders in both the Classics and Moderns 6 m. J categories were off to a great start today as they both close the day with substantial results.

Germany's "Courage IX" leads the Moderns fleet with one win and a second place, while RORC representative Andy Postle leads "Titia" ahead of the Classics fleet.

With 3 days to go into the championships, anything can happen in the competition as mild weather conditions are expected to strengthen a bit, with eager runner ups such as André Chaudoye and his Holm design ready to battle it out.

Races resume tomorrow inside the beatiful and sunny Bay of Quiberon. At least two races should be added to today's results.

Alba Batzill, 'Courage 9':
"The crew, the boat, the sails.... and our ability to find the right balance all made a difference today. More wind is expected tomorrow that will certainly affects the overall results..."
