For the first time in 2004 the Solings raced again in France with tremendous success. The Angers Cup raced in the Angers river at sur la Maine organized by the CVA who were pleased to see 7 crews from the hometown and 3 more travellers arriving to the first Soling event in 2004, the one part of an annual throphy classification.
On Saturday 4 races were run, all them with wind force around 10 knots and parallel to the river a temperature of 20C and a Sunny day. With only one boat being touched and close races produced 4 different winners the first day.
On Sunday with 3 more races to go in a same scenario were wind conditions were the ideal. Produced now two different winners at the first two races and at the last one Vassili Pecha from FRA 151 managed to win again and take the first place over Jozan Christian FRA 124 by only one point.
The best result ever was a great debut to the 2004 Soling season in France.
Events in France continue in July between the 3rd and 5th at the Open France Championship - Piriac Cup at the sea.
