Racing will take place on the Colne Estuary which provides sheltered sea sailing. We can sail at any state of the tide and the Club has safe and easy launching via its own ramp into Brightlingsea Creek. Alongside great racing there will also be a warm Essex welcome and great hospitality thanks to our excellent bar and galley teams who will keep everyone fed and watered throughout the weekend. There's plenty to keep friends and family entertained ashore, too, as the Club is open from early morning to late at night. There's a sandy beach right outside the Club, and there are walks along the River Colne and Brightlingsea Creek, playgrounds, a seawater paddling pool, Brightlingsea's outdoor swimming pool (one of the few remaining outdoor lidos still in operation), and the ever-popular crabbing from Brightlingsea Hard. You can even take the harbour a trip on the harbour ferry. All are within a few minutes' walk of the Club, so you can forget the car.
