Event: Open & National Inland Champs
27 Sep 2015
Open to these classes: Racing for the Walter Smith trophy, running every year since 1959, and the Firefly National Inland Championships, Part Two.
Briefing at about 10.30, three, probably four, races planned.
Bacon butties, refreshments, light lunches, and afternoon teas will be available, including Chipstead's world famous cake!
Chipstead lake is large enough for the experienced racer to enjoy an amusing and competitive day's racing, but also small and secure for the less experienced to sail and feel comfortable. Launching from several pontoons, no need to even get our feet wet!
All club facilities will be available, families, supporters, pit crews and technical advisers will be very welcome to join us for a great day of Firefly racing. Plenty of fine views over the race track from the club verandas.
Find us just off the A21, junction 5 of the M25, postcode: TN13 2SD, clubhouse telephone: 01732 454875.
The event is being run this year in conjunction with the Firefly open meeting the day before (Saturday 26 September) at nearby Bough Beech SC, hosted by Sevenoaks School; the results of these two days will be combined to form the Firefly class National Inland Championships!
The Chipstead event is round seven of the Firefly Vines Travellers trophy.
