	Not sure what to make of the Britannia. Looks butt ugly from the picture on the Y&Y front page, but better from other shots. I think the only pretty boat out of the 4 launched is the NZ boat. The Italian boat looks to be a reasonable compromise between form and function. The Brit & US boats are vying to be last on the dance floor. At the end of day, it is the function that matters and it may be that the less aesthetic boats work better than the more attractive ones. It will be intriguing to see what happens when they first get together in the ACWS.

	I'm sure her mother loves her... According to the stats on one y&y article she weighs 6,450 tonnes! Hope the , was supposed to be a decimal point!

	Having looked at all the boats launched so far, Britannia really stands out. Not for looks but the design concept. I think there is a fair bit of influence from Adrian Newey in the overall design. With these designs approaching 55+ knots, the shape of the hull is more about aerodynamics than hydrodynamics. There is probably a lot more to discover in detail, but it could be Team INEOS UK have already gone down the route of making the hull body with a fair amount of aero efficiency and function. Just my thoughts, proof will be in the testing and races

	Looks like the hull is to be an end stopped stubby wing, so looking to generate lift as opposed to just minimise drag. I can't fathom the complexity of advantages from generating lift/drag from hull vs hydrofoils. I'd imagine the hydrofoil lift would be easier to trim, therefore better, but who knows. I wonder if BAR have adopted their design philosophy from the last AC campaign where they built a fast, but really difficult to sail vessel.
