by Peter Campbell on 11 Nov 2000
The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron crew of Scott Bailey, Edward Rogers and Chris
Burgess today maintained their overall pointscore lead in the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s

Although they failed to win a race, their consistency in each of the six fleet races sailed in the

The Gold Coast Yacht Club crew of Shane Dickson, Wayne Odgers-Jewell and Michael Kelly,
jumped from fifth in standings after Friday’s first day of racing to be second overall, winning two
of today’s races, sailed in light and variable breezes.

Just one point back in third place is the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania crew of Tim Cubit, Jamie
Chung-Gon and James O’Reilly who also had two wins today.

Overall points after 12 races and two days of sailing: Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron 27,
Gold Coast Yacht Club 30, Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania 31, Royal Queensland Yacht
Squadron 47, Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron 54, Cruising Yacht Club of Australia Gold 55,
