Interview with Karyn Gojnich, 1988 Olympic 470 Sailor

Karen represented Australia in 1988, and was part of the first women's team to represent Australia in sailing. 1988 was the first year that 470's and women were part of the yachting scene at the Olympics.

Karen gives her take on Australia's chances in the 470s at these Olympics.

Sam Goodchild tears his mainsail
Exploded during an untimely gybe in the Vendée Globe Sam Goodchild, the British skipper of the yacht VULNERABLE, informed his technical team shortly before 1pm that his mainsail had torn. It literally exploded during an untimely gybe under autopilot.

35th Palamós Optimist Trophy hits 550 entries
A record 31 participating countries for event next month The 35th International Palamós Optimist Trophy-19 Nations Cup closed the registrations a few days ago after the maximum quota of 550 boats was completed. This year it will also have a record 31 participating countries.
